Taste wines delicate, rounded, with a gentle acidity. The finish is long, with attractive honey nuances.
Aromatic bouquet of wine abounds in shades of apricot jam, baked figs and pears, which are complemented by nuances of nuts and vanilla.
Wine combined perfectly with foie gras and desserts such as creme brulee and raspberry souffle.
"Chateau de Rolland" - one of the great white wines of Sauternes, which is almost entirely made by hand. Wine fermentation is performed in tanks of stainless steel, after which it is aged in small oak barrels 14 months. Even with the age of "Chateau de Rolland" does not lose the rich palette of flavor and aroma, but rather reveals all the more tempting fresh fruit and spicy tones. Wine storage capacity of up to 10 years.
Chateau de Rolland dates back to 1492, this is the year the family Rolland acquired land of the ancient Carthusian monastery, where he later was built itself estate. Vineyards Chateau de Roland are located near the river Gironde and today is one of the oldest in the region of Sauternes. Created here sweet white wines are known worldwide unique range of taste and flavor, as well as the unique ability to grow for several decades. Soil chateau presented sand, clay, limestone and gravel, which give grapes amazing aromas of tropical fruit, but most importantly, that the wine is made only from berries affected by noble rot Botrytis Cinerea. "Generosity" Bouytis Cinerea is that it affects the skin of grapes, but not touching the flesh, whereby the berries increases the concentration of sugar.
