Sauternes region was and remains the best in France, representative of the great sweet wines. Château Lafon has 10 acres of vineyards in the neighborhood with the greatest Château d'Yquem. Here are grown Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle - varieties best suited to create sweet wines. Terroir unique microclimate due to the proximity of the ocean and river Sironi.
