Wine Chateau Gloria, St. Julien AOC, 2010, 375 ml
Wine of deep red-purple color.
Very stylish, clean, silky palate with polished tannins and a rich palette of black fruit aromas echoed. The wine shows a very elegant and long finish with mineral finish.
Intense, fragrant fruit bouquet reveals captivating tones of black currant, blackberry and blueberry pie framed notes of cinnamon, bay leaf, cedar and graphite.
The wine goes well with game dishes with spicy sauces, roast beef, grilled meat, lamb and ham prosciutto and blue cheese.
Henri Martin - the owner of Chateau Gloria, a famous mayor of San Julian and Grand Master of the Order of medokskogo Commanderie du Bontemps, - was one of the legendary people Medoc. He gathered estate Gloria "from pieces of" land purchased from neighboring Cru Classe, and created a Bordeaux wine is very decent quality, which is not kept in 225-liter barriques, and in 7000-liter barrels, so it has a very generous fruitiness, but less pronounced oak shade than wine neighbors. His fault, of course, always intended for a wide range of consumers. They were round, generous and very mature, with a wonderful cedar, spicy, almost grotesque bouquet. Under the direction of his son-in-Jean-Louis Trio, nothing has changed radically. Wine is surprisingly good look young, but can develop 12-15 years. Style wines "Chateau Gloria" has changed in the mid-1970s. Vintages "Gloria" 1978-1993 years seem lighter wines, fruity and less tannic than wines produced earlier. However vintages 2000, 1996 and 1995 were much meaty and rich, being perhaps the harbingers of a return to the style of "before 1978". Wine "Chateau Gloria" of any style are delightfully fluffy and delicious. Volume of production of Chateau Gloria - 200,000 bottles of wine.
