Interesting Facts

Abbaye de Morgeot located in the southern part of the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet on a hillside near the village of Santenay. The soil is reddish due to the presence of iron compounds in it. It consists mainly of limestone subsoil, very suitable for varieties Pinot Noir, but with the exceptional and unique style of Chardonnay. Olivier Leflaive owns 2.5 acres of vineyard.
