The wine is dark red in color with a ruby hue.
Lush and rich taste of the wine has a clean structure, balanced acidity and pleasant tannins. In taste different shades of ripe blueberry and dark cherry, smoky notes and a subtle minerality. The finish is long and memorable.
Generous bouquet of wine gives aromas of raspberry, cherry, red currant, red and black fruit on the background of the nuances of brown sugar, cinnamon, pink pepper.
The wine goes well with red meat, venison, rabbit, mature cheeses.
First Brunello di Montalcino "Tenuta Nuova" was released in 1993. It was a science project "Casanova di Neri" features a passionate desire to produce Brunello with lots of character. Explore the land in search of better exposure, winemakers have chosen for the production of Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese grapes cloned from Sangiovese Cherretalto and grown in the vineyards and Le Petradoniche Cetin, located south of Montalcino. In the process of wine making "Tenuta Nuova" Brunello di Montalcino harvest was macerated and fermented in open vats tapered from three to four weeks, after which the wine is matured in 600-liter oak barrels for 36 months and then 18 months in bottles. The wine has a large storage capacity.
Casanova di Neri Winery was founded in 1971 when Giovanni Neri bought a large estate in Montalcino, in an area famous for excellent conditions for growing grapes and creating great wines. The estate belonged to 35 hectares of vineyards. Gradually Giovanni Neri join him and other lands, so today the winery has a total of about 60 hectares, which are divided into four vineyard: "Petradoniche", which is located in Castelnuovo del Abate, "Le Cetin" in Sant'Angelo in Colle, "Cherretalto" and "Fiesole" to the east, near the farm, in front of Montalcino.
