Tasting Notes


Wine rich, brilliant purple-ruby color.


The taste of the wine is full, deep, rounded, with fine, thin and thick velvety tannins, plenty of fruit tones, with long colorful aftertaste with notes of tobacco.


Complex aroma of the wine shows notes of licorice, dark wild raspberries, black currants, blackberries, blueberries, spices and aromatic herbs (rosemary).


The wine will be the perfect pair of artisan meats, red meat, lamb, grilled meats and mature cheeses.

"Biserno" - the flagship wine farms, the top achievements of Tenuta di Biserno, estates belonging to Campo di Sasso. Wine reflects the terroir of the coastal zone and is characterized by the Upper Marremo particular depth. "Bizerno" - this is a great wine that is characterized by a magnificent structure, intensity and complexity, reliability, duration, elegance and great finesse!

Harvesting to create "Biserno" lasts from mid-September to early October, he performed manually in 15 kg boxes. The grapes are strictly selected, destebliruetsya and crushed. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats for 3-4 weeks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C. For malolactic fermentation, the wine is divided: 80% fermented in barrels, and 20% - in steel tanks. "Bizerno" first matured for 15 months in new French oak barrels, and then - after bottling - another 12 months. The wine has a wonderful storage capacity, vintage 2009 will be at the peak of ripeness from 2016 to 2027.

Campo di Sasso estate was purchased by the Marquis Lodovico Antinori in 1995. Campo di Sasso consists of three different vineyards to the west of the road to Bolgheri. The unique geographical position of this large estate promised excellent prospects for development: a varied terroir, great climate Tuscan coast, hot sun and the freshness of the Ligurian Sea. On the basis of Campo di Sasso, Lodovico Antinori together with his older brother - the famous winemaker Piero Antinori - created company Tenuta di Biserno. Antinori invited the famous oenologist Michel Rolland, who personally manages all processes in the winery. Two wine estates - Insoglio del Cinghiale Toscana IGT and Il Pino di Biserno Toscana IGT has won great recognition among many professionals and wine lovers.
