"Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon - dry red wine with a pleasant berry motifs in taste and aroma. Produced Israeli winery Barkan from Cabernet Sauvignon (100%), grown in the vineyards in the south of the Judean Hills. All manufacturing processes are under strict control of a team of professional winemakers. Galileo - a big administrative, as well as the famous wine-growing region in northern Israel. Even in Biblical writings mention the region where Jesus turns water into wine at the wedding at Cana. From here originates the origins of winemaking. The entire territory of the region is divided into three zones: the Upper Galilee, Lower Galilee and the Judean Hills. Among the various types of soils predominate gravel, limestone and mineral-rich basalt deposits. The height of the Judean Hills reaches 450 meters above sea level, so here cool climate and relatively high rainfall. Good moisture contributes to the creation of atypical fresh and bright wine.

Producer's description

History Barkan winery began in 1899 with a small winery, built by Solomon Friedman for the production of brandy, cognac and sweet wines. In 1964 the company became the owner of the food holding "Tnuva". Later was built winery. And in 1990, Yair Lerner and Shmoel Boxer purchased wine company and founded Barkan Wine Cellars. Barkan Company is one of the largest in Israel, 25% of the shares owned by the state holding wine. The main factory is located in the commune of Hulda, near the city of Rehovot. Barkan Company is constantly evolving, investing heavily in the construction of wineries and the acquisition of new vineyards. The company's products are very popular and are certified as Kosher.
