The wine has a strong, rich flavor - an elegant and dry.
The wine has a spicy flavor, which perceptible notes of yellow petals of roses, carnations, lychee and nutmeg.
The wine is well suited to a variety of Chinese, Thai and Indian dishes, as well as perfectly with foie gras, duck, lobster, crayfish, pasta sauce, grilled fish and seafood.
Trentino-Alto Adige is not yet as famous as Tuscany or Piedmont or more known for its ski tourism than wine. But local winemakers applied every effort to achieve universal recognition and respect. South Tyrol - the region of contrasts: located on the border with Austria and Switzerland, where there are snow-capped mountains and green valleys, Alpine and Mediterranean climate - a unique area for growing grapes with individual character, reflecting its origins.
The name of the cooperative Kolterentsio, founded in 1960, is derived from the village near Kolterentsio Girlana. Here is one of Europe's oldest vineyards planted by the Romans. On the labels of wines Colterenzio depicts the silhouette of the XV century castle, built by Archbishop Sigismund, who was a great connoisseur of wine and engaged in viticulture. Today the castle is almost destroyed. Gewürztraminer refers to the classic lineup of wines Colterenzio - excellent wine for every day, excellent value for money. The vineyard is located at 400-460 meters altitude, soils are glacial moraine deposits with clay and destroyed porphyry. Harvest 50 hl / ha. Crushed grapes undergoes cold maceration for several hours before squeezing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation is used.
