Despite the sharp rise in temperatures in July and August, the end of summer continuous rain refreshed the soil. Torrential rains in mid-September and a significant decrease in temperature helped bring the grapes to the phenolic maturity. Merlot collected from 26 August to 15 September, Sangiovese - the latest from 10 to 20 October. The 2009 production turned mature, healthy and with good sugar content. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 11 to 16 degrees, and then the wine aged in stainless steel vats. The wine was bottled in mid-January 2010.
